Sikkim is indeed picturesque, and your article and photography took me about 5 years back, when I was visiting my sissy who was staying in Sikkim at that time. I especially liked those snap shots of the Kirateshwar Mahadev Mandir, and the legend. Thanks for sharing this wonderful travelogue!
A very insightful and thought provoking article on this topical issue. Society has become self indulgent and materialistic, as if it wasn't before; means have been accessible to many to stay away from the negative emotions, be it a form of escapism. But then all the stories of the blast reports, about tiffin boxes being used in blasts were also made public even at the time of Jaipur blasts, and gelatin sticks are not inventions of this century; but then question one would ask, if there are terror outfits who want to destabilize our nation why do they repeatedly miss out in our intelligence radar. Is there a more glaring and a little subtle coincidence between these repeated failures, considering the fact that only crude devices have been used in Jaipur, Bangalore, or Ahmedabad? I definitely wouldn't believe that it is only the responsibility of our government, but yes if such an organized terror plots have been cooked up, govt. that spends crores of rupees to keep these intelligence (taking the money from poor salaried people) organizations, not for just window dressing!
Thanks for sharing this thought provoking post.

Rickey Ponting's framing of Harbhajan Singh appears to be a leaf taken out of some Hollywood flick. Andrew Symonds was a bait, and the footage clearly shows that Symonds made a comment first and then Bhajji may have retaliated, but none of them were audible, none of the fielders (Ponting, Gilchrist, Hayden, Clerk) were in audible range. All of them were farther than the microphone near the stumps, so if the microphone or the umpires missed out on the racial comment, how could Hayden, Clerk and others become witnesses! Does this mean that the whole Aussie team had a plan, and they had hidden microphones, which only made the racial remarks audible to them (as far as slip cordon), and they provided the tapes secretly to our SANCTIMONIOUS PINHEAD Mike Procter? Or does this mean, that Aussies know a secret that we Indians do not know, that Monkey is another human race, or is Andrew Symonds a genetically engineered creation of what Michael Crichton describes as Humanzees in his science fiction NEXT. Then Michael Crichton is antedated, and if everything is consistent, and if calling a Humanzee (pardon me, this only a logical analysis, I am not calling Symonds a Humanzee) a Monkey is racial comment then perhaps Procter is correct. Taking for granted Symbonds is not a Humanzee, and he is a perfect human being why would he consider the word Monkey derogatory? I read somewhere he mentions that in his parlance "Monkey" is a racial remark, does this mean in his milieu Monkey is another human race?

Bravo! More power to your pen!

Nothing could have transformed Aaja Nachle into a box hit, but a decent plot and storyline. I felt that the motif was too pretentious to cause any major wave train in the Bollywood!

This was one of the better blogs I have read in this site. I commend your explosive sense of humor.

Hi Drcelestinemd,
I like your spirit to carve any topic into a sonnet, and you have been successful in many of your attempts. However I found that it is difficult to read this work in Iambic pentameters. I have written a short critique based on my observations. But unfortunately found a trall (who doesn't justify why liked your post, but tralls are like THAT!) taking potshots on my comment, and not only this post I found that he went to my comments thread and dug up my comments and left his ad hominem remarks at many other places targetting me. I am not interested to get to a mud slinging match, but in case he tries his stunts again I am going to take legal action.

Hi Satish,
I have always tried to give thoughtful comments, and have always stayed away from happy clappy self serving vanity presses. I have also been benefitted from such critical comments from you and many others (some in the eratosphere site).
However, I take exception of tralls (especially if they pose as senior citizen in this site!)
Regards,
