                         Dr Putin? He cheated, say scholars,
         Hizb chief Salahuddin
                             surfaces in public in Pak.
                    A morning newspaper,
                         a half-peeled orange,
                             an extended image,
                                  a box of metaphors.

        Ambani resigned from Rajya Sabha,
             walked fluorescent underground arcades,
                  riding crocodile elevator,
                        spoke to media in bubble words,
                                 flowery bubbling words,
                                       about accountable accounts.

                                        smoked, sprayed and perspired.

      Bollywood has a blast at the games,
             Celluloid beauties have MCG in thrall.
                 British rising star, who is rising
                      for ten years, Henman, dumps

Last two pages cover advertisements,
           begging, fricken advertisements,
                   smelly, enameled, glossy advertisements.
           No news on genocide in Africa,
                    no column on jail tortures in Iraq.
  An extra supplement, opportunities,
       inform MNC job openings,
            consultants faking resumes,
                 window dress dreams.
       A morning newspaper,
           an extended image,
                a few stitched poems,
                  a pair of metaphors,
                      a pack of modifiers,
                            a lighter.
